Brother and Sister

Mimi started this soon after we came home. She gives you a sly grin, runs into a room and closes the door. She thinks she is all that for closing the door on us. Until she realizes she can't open the door then she doesn't like it so much. And she starts to whine. Obviously I don't leave her behind the door long enough because she keeps doing it. She knows momma is going to open it quickly when she starts to get a little scared. Well now the boy has caught on and both of them conspire together to lock me out of any room they can all the while thinking it is hilarious. Abraham even slams the doors on me now.

I wondered what it would be like to have unrelated siblings home at the same time. It was rough for a couple weeks that is for sure but the two of them are bonded like any other brother and sister now. When Abraham cries a look of worry immediately comes over Mimi's face and when one of them laughs the other one joins right in. Sometimes they both start hysterically laughing at who knows what and they just scream and shout and laugh in their own little world. And even early on poor Mimi was screaming getting her blood drawn and my aunt who had Abraham in the waiting room said he had a look of panic come over him and knew it was sister. I am so happy the adoptions happened as they did and think both children have benefited from having each other.
